About Us
Our Story
Founded by Dr. La Shawn Denise Witt, My Sister’s Keeper was born from a deep calling to walk alongside women in their journey from crisis to stability. Having spent over 25 years serving women through education, mentorship, ministry, and leadership, Dr. La Shawn recognized a gap in long-term, culturally relevant, and faith-centered support for women who have experienced sex trafficking, domestic violence, homelessness, or reentry from incarceration.
My Sister’s Keeper exists to bridge that gap—offering not just temporary relief, but a comprehensive pathway toward healing, independence, and lasting transformation.

Our Mission
To guide women transitioning from crisis to stability through trauma-informed support, personal growth opportunities, and faith-centered coaching that promotes healing, self-sufficiency, and leadership.
